  We arrived at Villa Azul on August 2nd 2016 for 3 weeks with my wife and 3 children (girls) aged 8,9,14. Upon collection of the keys from OPI it was explained by Mr Wools or Wale, that a shutter was broken but was being entered into the book and that it would be fixed ASAP. Upon entering the Villa we realised that the shutter in question was the front left shutter which was our view to the pool from the front room, the shutter was stuck 3/4 of the way down, this meant we couldn't see the kids whilst swimming and the room was dark ( 14 DAYS LATER IT WAS FIXED). Next thing was a broken sliding door, 3 broken exposed light switches, Spanish version of Dyno Rod had to be called on the 2nd day (Villa Stank) Cooker hob broke in the middle of cooking for friends (told OPI not to bother fixings as we only had 3 days left) Villa was dirty (see pictures of Air con unit, walls, Shower room, mattresses. No pillow slips or quilt covers, 3rd bedroom smelt like a cigar den, Yellow armchair as per original pictures was extremely dirty, on suite bathroom shower head broke. In 2 of the bedrooms I had to change the lightbulbs myself as they had blown, would have been fine if they'd have blown during our stay but they didn't work on arrival. I have property myself in UK and it seems to me that OPI or the owners of Villa Azul are trying to hold out for as long as possible before a long overdue facelift has to be done. Very very disappointing stay indoors but at least we only had a short walk to Quesada. Unfortunately for someone wanting to stay in an exclusive Villa and paying exclusive villa money, this one will not cut the mustard for you.

  What a fabulous place to stay, beautiful gardens fruit growing on the trees, fabulous pool, and a real Suntrap. A quiet p!ace to stay and relax, have been 3 times now, and look forward to booking again,always clean and well kept, love it.
